The 2025 annual Halloween Fun Run lived up to its name! The Tabor faculty and students were certainly in the Halloween spirit, as the number of creative costumes exceeded that of last year’s.
Some teachers even went above and beyond with their costume choices: the administrative staff dressed up as bees and beekeepers; Dr. Porter dressed as Luke Skywalker, and Ms. Smith a democracy fairy.
The event started with Mr. Jaccaci introducing our speakers: Mr. Watt read the poem
“Phantoms of Samhain,” and Mr. Sousa followed up with historical facts about how the origin of the Fun Run. After our speakers presented the audience with fun facts and poetry, Mr. Heavey got the runners warmed up using old Celtic exercises.
Runners began at the flagpole, went down past the Fish Center, up towards the Travis Roy Campus Center, and back to the flagpole for the final bag of candy. All runners (or walkers) were given a bag or two as they make their way around the course.
It was indeed a good day to be a Seawolf! Happy Halloween!
