This past Wednesday, Tabor Academy Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse took on Buckingham Brown & Nichols School in the Quarterfinals of the ISL Tournament. Tabor has had an outstanding record this season, with league standings displaying 13 wins and only 1 loss, so it was no surprise that they were the top-ranked team in the ISL standings. This phenomenal record secured home-field advantage going into the first single-elimination game against the eighth-ranked team.
At 4:00 on Fish Field, the game had begun. It was evident that the stakes were high, but Tabor did not crumble under the pressure. They rose above. Within the first seven minutes of the game, Tabor had already scored four goals. Dylan Franzen ’27, a few moments later, extended the lead to five goals. At the end of the first quarter, BB&N put themselves on the board, but that did not stop Colton McNamara ’26, as he scored early in the second quarter. Tabor’s defense was resilient, allowing few shots on goal while communicating to maintain their success for all four quarters. The team as a whole worked immensely well throughout the game and ended victorious, with a score of 23 to 6.
