Field Hockey
The girls varsity field hockey team is on an impressive winning streak, and they carried that same confident energy into their game on Wednesday against Pomfret School. The first period was slow, with constant back and forth movement of both teams. But then, at the start of the second period, the Seawolves locked in–particularly, Adeline Wiesel ‘27, scoring three goals to solidify their lead. Most of the team got playing time, both goalies got in, and the Seawolves walked away with a proud 5-1 win. This was their last home game and they made it worth it. The field hockey team will continue to bring their winning momentum into their last game of the season against the Brooks School this Saturday.
Boys Varsity Soccer
The boys varsity soccer team came away with an incredible win against Phillips Andover Academy on a beautiful Wednesday evening. The varsity boys soccer team hasn’t beaten Phillips Andover since 2019, and this was momentous. On a beautiful fall night, a war between the underdog and the champion took place. After a hard-fought match, the Seawolves scraped by Andover, 2-1, in a gritty yet deserving win. With a great effort from Liam Karol ‘26 in net, the Seawolves’ defense had a strong performance, allowing them to keep Andover in check. Ending under .500, the squad showed much improvement from their 2-win season last year but fell short of the goal of a level record. With the team showing much improvement from last season, hopes are high for the future thanks to a promising last few games capped by this solid 2-1 win. They practiced, they executed, and they won. Congrats to the boys varsity soccer team on this unbelievable win.
