Field Hockey
The girls varsity field hockey team carried the momentum from their last game into their senior night match against St. Marks, walking away with a proud 6-0 win. Before the first whistle even blew, the team was hyped up. It was evident that they were excited to play. They consistently broke through St. Mark’s defense, scoring goal after goal. Mavis O’Neil ‘26 was particularly energetic, promoting strong team chemistry as well as being a threat on the field. St. Mark’s was not ready for the sheer dedication these girls put into their craft over the course of the season. The girls varsity field hockey team has come a long way, and they deserve to be victorious.
Boys Varsity Soccer
The boys varsity soccer came away with a big win over St. Mark’s, on senior day, to break a cold spell. The team celebrated “Senior Week,” a term coined by Coach Patrick, where every day a couple seniors were highlighted for their contributions over the years. With players giving varying shout-outs, with Zachary Lieberman ‘26, to “Coach P for making my transition to Tabor seamless.” With all the hype leading up to the game-thanks in part to a pep-rally Friday night-the team came out firing. Despite a strong defensive effort from St. Marks, the Seawolves’ offense was just too strong. With 10 seniors starting, Tabor came away with a big win.
Girls Varsity Soccer
The Tabor Academy girls varsity soccer team won 1-0 against St. Mark’s. The Seawolves played aggressive offense, creating chances at the goal and putting constant pressure on St. Mark’s defense. The goalkeeper particularly had an exemplary game, making crucial saves to maintain the shutout. Both teams played hard, but Tabor’s attack and solid defense led them to victory. It’s always exciting to see the talent and effort from the Tabor community, and I look forward to watching the team grow.
