Varsity Field Hockey
The girls varsity field hockey team ran into their game against Austin Preparatory School with a winning mindset. Before the game even started, the girls were visually locked in. Immediately, the Seawolves applied aggressive pressure on their opponents, stopping any play that was attempted and consistently breaking through their defense. Adeline Weasel ‘27 was a standout, as she scored multiple times and led offensive plays. As the game progressed, their spirits followed and everyone on the team got some playing time. They won 6-0 after a perfect showing of putting their practice into play. We hope they bring the same energy for their next this Saturday against St. Marks School!
Girls Varsity Soccer
The girls varsity soccer team delivered an impressive 3-0 win over Pomfret this Wednesday, showcasing their dominant offense and defense. From the opening whistle, the Seawolves controlled possession, creating numerous scoring opportunities. After a scoreless first half, Tabor broke through with a goal early in the second half and quickly added two more to seal the victory. The team’s chemistry, movement off the ball, and attacking pressure were exemplary. Similarly, their defense kept Pomfret from getting any real chances at scoring. It was an all-around strong performance, and the Seawolves continue to find their rhythm as the season comes to a close.
Varsity Volleyball
On Wednesday October 29, the Tabor girls varsity volleyball team played a hard-fought match against St. Mark’s. While St. Mark’s proved to be a fierce competitor, Tabor didn’t let the tough competition dampen their spirits. It was the team’s senior night, celebrating the accomplishments of the five senior players: Angie Fernando, Andie Derrig, Jovie Segalini, Grace Long, and Kaitlyn Jones. Though the final score on the second set was 10-25 in favor of St. Mark’s, Tabor started the third set off strong by scoring the first three points. Andie Derrig ‘26 had a notable performance, reaching some tough shots in the third set to keep the ball in bounds. The girls made an impressive comeback after the second set, finishing with a final score of 3-2. This was an excellent win for the girls, especially on the team’s senior night. The team played exceptionally well, and Tabor looks forward to cheering them on for the remainder of the season.
