Girls Varsity Lacrosse
Under a gray sky that eventually gave way to late-game fireworks, Tabor and Milton traded punches in a girls’ lacrosse thriller that ended with the Seawolves prevailing 14–13 on a golden-goal strike from junior attacker Mavis O’Neil just seconds into overtime. The evening felt like a roller-coaster—Eden Ocampo 25’ led Tabor to an early two-goal cushion in the opening quarter, only for Milton to answer and turn the second period into a track meet. Ashley Piersol’s first-half brace kept the Seawolves in front, and O’Neil matched her with a pair of goals during a frantic 90-second span that also featured tallies from Stella Ingle and Ellie Amato. After a quieter third quarter, the fourth erupted: Ellie Amato and Piersol pushed the lead to two, Milton clawed back, and O’Neil’s third of the night knotted things at 13 before Natalie Hurlbut appeared to seal it with 1:57 left—only for Milton to equalize again inside the final minute. That set the stage for overtime, where Tabor won the draw, worked the ball deliberately, and found O’Neil curling from X; a breathless contest finally belonged to the Seawolves.
Varsity Softball
Yesterday, the Tabor varsity softball team played a strong Nobles team. Every player on the team was very talented, and every batter could make good contact with the ball. Tabor started hot, with an amazing pitching performance from Bella Nugent, throwing strike after strike. However, the fourth inning fell away from Tabor due to the team giving up some runs and even a home run. Tabor battled back, trying to do the little things, but small hits were not enough against the talented Nobles team. They made every play and were just overall a hard-to-beat team.
Tennis Boys Varsity
The Seawolves charged into Wednesday afternoon’s match with determination and came out victorious, defeating Governor’s Academy with a commanding 6-1 win. Despite the final score, the match was far from easy, with Governor’s putting up strong resistance across several courts. One of the most thrilling moments came from Eric Liu ’27, who battled through a tense tie-break to secure a key singles win, showcasing grit and composure well beyond his years. The rest of the lineup brought steady energy and discipline to the court, reflecting the team’s growing synergy as the season unfolds.
Lacrosse Boys Varsity
Under the lights on Wednesday, Tabor’s boys’ lacrosse team turned the field into a playground, racing past Rivers 20–6 in a game that felt electric from the opening faceoff. The Seawolves jumped out early, shared the ball with abandon, and somehow made a 14-goal win feel like a collective performance piece: eleven players found the scoresheet, two long-stick defenders chipped in goals of their own, and every successful clear seemed to morph into a fast-break highlight. Sophomore Chris Tardie ‘26 and Jack Czepiel ‘27 each lasered home a goal, but the loudest cheers were reserved for senior goalie Grady Alger ‘27, whose double-digit haul of point-blank saves crushed any hope Rivers had of clawing back.
Varsity Baseball
On Wednesday, the Boys Varsity Baseball Team played against the Rivers School on Duffy turf. Rivers came out strong with a pitcher who couldn’t not throw strikes. The innings passed quickly as the River’s pitcher was throwing heat. This guy would not let the Seawolves get men home. Although their pitcher was good, their batters couldn’t capitalize on scoring. Tabor reciprocated the aggressiveness on the field and got serious on defense to prevent Rivers from scoring. The Seawolves locked in and started to break through the sharp pitches. Dean Gobeil’s ‘25 two RBIs combined with another great performance on the mound by Marc London ‘26 contributed to a big 4-1 win by Tabor. This was a hard-fought game on both sides and a well-deserved victory for the Seawolves.
