Boys’ Varsity Squash
Boys’ Varsity Squash had a challenging game this Wednesday against Phillips Andover Academy. Both teams exhibited skill and determination, but Phillips Andover Academy ultimately won with a score of 5-2. Juan Jose ’24 got Tabor off to a strong start defeating his opponent in three straight games. never once losing control. Thomas Valderrama ’24 had been feeling sick in the days prior but was not deterred in the slightest and outskilled his opponent by beating him, also in three straight sets, to the score of 2-0. The matches that followed were nothing short of amazing, but unfortunately, Tabor was unable to win another game. A noteworthy Seawolf was Eagle Pei ‘26, the only sophomore on the varsity team, who fought tooth and nail and brought his match to the 5th game. Giving it everything he had he ultimately lost 11-9 but was exemplary in his performance after playing 45 minutes of squash. Tabor’s hopes are high and the team looks to improve in the coming games.
The Winter Musical
This past Wednesday, the Tabor Musical Team continued to put in their tremendous work for the upcoming show Footloose. For the first 30 minutes of the rehearsal, everyone gathered on stage to run through their dance with music, fixed holes in opening scenes, and added new movements for their lines. Afterward, Richard Ye ’24, who plays Ren, the leading role, worked on the dance “I Can’t Stand Still” with choreographer Steve Vaughn. Simultaneously, Anna Ambarik ’24, Isabella Sacerdote ’26, and Ariana Wen ’24 worked on “Learning to be Silent” with Mrs. Hawley and Dr. Zhou. Opening night is almost here, and you do not want to miss it!
