Do you struggle in school? Are you spending way too long on assignments you don’t understand? The peer tutoring program is a great resource for academic support that all Tabor students should know about. Tutoring sessions can be a planned meeting or simply a drop-in visit. During an open block, walk into the ASSIST center and a tutor will be there to provide support in any subject. To schedule a session, simply log on to my TA, go to groups, click on ASSIST under the advisory tab, and click the “Sign up to work with a peer tutor!” button. If there is a tutor you really like, you can request that person for your next meeting. Many of the tutors say that the tutoring program is an extremely underrated resource at Tabor. In a student-to-student environment, you can be more honest about your problems, allowing for a judgement-free learning space. Students understand the struggles of school and have been trained and are ready to answer any question students bring to them.
