Boys Varsity Hockey
The team came out strong in their matchup against Thayer Academy, striking first and setting the tone for an intense battle on the ice. With relentless energy and sharp passing, Tabor found the back of the net early, grabbing a well-earned 1-0 lead by Ethan Travis. They continued to apply pressure, challenging Thayer’s defense and creating scoring opportunities. However, despite Tabor’s strong start, Thayer managed to respond, evening the score and eventually pulled ahead. Tabor fought hard until the final buzzer, but Thayer capitalized on key chances to secure a 4-1 win. Despite the result, Tabor’s early dominance and determined play proved they were a force to be reckoned with.
Boys JV Hockey
The Boys JV hockey team secured a 3-1 victory over Thayer Academy with strong teamwork and solid goaltending. They opened the scoring early, but the opponent tied it in the second period. Tabor had a strong defense for most of the game and the goaltending was great throughout as well. There was a lot of pressure throughout the second and third periods which led to Thayer scoring, yet Tabor had consistent defense and offense. Thayer is Tabor’s biggest rival and the team secured a great win over them making us the better TA. GO TABOR!
Musical
The Winter Musical crew is nearly finalizing their upcoming musical, Singin’ In the Rain, which they will perform on February 20th-22nd. Chloe Kim ‘25, Leon Stanely ‘25, and Gun Phakdeetalab ‘25 filmed a scene from “The Royal Rascal,” which is a silent film that will be an example of Hollywood’s transition from silent films to “talkies.”
Meanwhile, Jace Lee ‘25 and the rest of the dance crew worked with Steve Vaughn on mastering the dance routine in the “Broadway Melody.” The dancers” dedication and hard work are both evident in their polished performance!
Jace Lee ‘25, then worked on his comedic performance of “Make ‘Em Laugh,” which requires physical training and impressive tricks while singing complex notes. Jace said, “I had to learn a lot of new tricks, which was challenging, but at the end of the day, it makes people laugh, which is all that matters!”
With everyone’s dedication to the process, the show will surely be spectacular!
Girls Varsity Hockey
This past Wednesday the girls hockey team competed against Milton’s girls’ hockey team, resulting in a 1-0 win favoring tabor. They had many shots with most on goal and were quick on their feet when it came to defending. Throughout the game, Tabor showcased very strong defense but was not playing their typical offense game. Nevertheless, the girls put forth their best efforts and scored in overtime, ending the game on a good note. Despite the tough game, they ended with a well-earned win.
Girls Varsity Squash
The girls squash team killed it on the court Wednesday against Dexter Southfield, winning overall with a final score of 7-0. Showing determination and domination on their home courts, the girls are continuing up the ranks with their undefeated title as the season goes on. Looking ahead the team has a strong chance to remain undefeated for the rest of the season.
TIBL GAME 1
This Wednesday the Rim Reapers had a heated face off against the Chum Buckets once again. At the end of a back a fourth game, both teams exchanged the lead every few minutes. Chris Tardie pulled through for the Rim Reapers – making two free throws at the end of the game, clinching the win for the Rim Reapers! Some might call it a buzzer beater! Shoutout to Quinn Audette who was remarkably close to getting a dunk during this game! Another shoutout to Conor Monaghan for getting nine points in the fourth quarter! Until next week – who will it be? The Rim Reapers? Or the Chum Buckets?
