Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia, his eighth studio album, was released on October 28, 2024. I liked the album, but I wouldn’t consider it great compared to his previous albums. The opening track, “St. Chroma,” sets an intriguing tone with its layered production and angelic background vocals, and tracks like “Noid,” “Sticky,” and “Balloon” kept me engaged with the unique melodies that Tyler, the Creator is known for. While no single song stood out as a masterpiece, the album was definitely worth listening to. Chromakopia continues the themes seen in his previous work, encouraging listeners to take off their masks and embrace their true selves, but with a more mature perspective. Tyler, the Creator has gained popularity not only for his captivating songs, but for the meaningful messages he weaves in to reflect lessons he learned in his life. Chromakopia is not Tyler’s best, but it is a solid addition to his story of growth and self-expression.
