Girls V Soccer
Girls Varsity soccer started off their season strong as it was evident that their preseason training has paid off. It was a hard-fought battle played on the lower chapel field with our new score board projecting the first winning score at Tabor this year. They were able to overcome the challengers of the Winsor School and defend our pride. Nathan Wu ‘26 captured the team spirit in an Instagram reel that can be viewed on his or the Tabor Photo Pool profile.
Girls Varsity Hockey
he Tabor Girls Varsity Field Hockey played impressive game against the Portsmouth Abby Ravens. There was good communication and teamwork all around from our Seawolves, using their passion and determination to score the first point of the game. This positive energy was amplified by Ellie Amato’s ’26 dedication towards chasing after the ball even if it could be out, as well as Adeline Wiesel ’27 constantly being on the offense and pushing the ball towards victory. These talents plus multiple goals from Sofia Nardelli ’28, and Katie Murphy ’25 helped us secure a 4-0 sweep. With the first win of the season secured, field hockey is off to a promising start for the Seawolves!
Boys V Soccer
Last Friday, Boys Varsity Soccer played a tough game and Friday and put a lot of effort on the field. We scored some unsavable goals but were still defeated in the end. The team after the game didn’t let the loss get in their heads and focused on winning their next match on Wednesday.
Field Hockey
The Varsity Field Hockey team continued their win streak against Phillips Exeter with a quick 3-0 sweep. It seems like the last game on Wednesday they picked up their rhythm and kept it going. They demonstrated excellent coordination which allowed them to dominate the neutral zone and make good transitions up and down the field. Katie Jackivicz ‘26 scored her first career goal on Saturday which put the team in even better spirits.
Cross Country
On Saturday, September 14, Tabor invited Nobles and Greenough School, St. Sebastian’s School, Thayer Academy, Rivers School, and Austin Preparatory School for a cross country meet at Washburn Park which was a thrilling contest from start to finish. Each runner brought their best dedication throughout the challenging terrain. Tabor Academy clinched with an outstanding team effort, securing the title by 28 points. As the first race of the season, Tabor undoubtedly will become better as the season progresses.
